Dot NET Domain Names

When the .NET generic domain extension was first launched in 1985, together with the first domain name extensions on the web, it was meant to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure companies. Taking into consideration that there were no particular rules about the usage of the top-level extension, though, dot NET domains were reserved and used for various purposes and by loads of people. This extension is a wonderful substitute of .COM, especially if the necessary domain with the latter domain extension is not available for registration.

Securing a dot NET domain with our firm is as easy as pie and takes only a couple of minutes, given that we are partners with an ICANN-accredited registrar company. You can order such a domain for a period between one and ten years, or, if you already have a domain, you can move it over to our company and we will renew it once the transfer process is finalized. Transfers are available for all domain names, which are at least sixty days old, given that they are unlocked and that you possess an EPP transfer authorization key – security measures set up by the dot NET Registry organization against unauthorized transfers. You can easily correct the WHOIS info of the domain through your Control Panel tool, or, if you wouldn't like this info to be public at all, you can buy a Whois Privacy Protection service, so nobody will be able to get your true contact details.

The .NET top-level extension supports internationalized names, so you can pick if you want to aim at a specific country or zone using a domain name in the local language, or the global online community – using a generic English name.
