Access Log Manager
Access Log Manager - what role does it serve and how you'll be able to use the information you will find inside it.
An access log is a detailed list of all the files that were accessed by the guests of a certain site. Any file which was requested for some reason shall be listed, so if you have one page with 3 embedded graphics, one video and one embedded text file, for example, the access log will contain a total of 6 entries - one for every of the six files that were accessed when the site visitor opened the webpage. A log typically shows the file name and path, the date, in addition to the visitor’s Operating System, browser and IP address. Oftentimes you could also find the referrer websites that sent the visitors to your website. The information an access log file contains is in human-readable plain text format. It can also be processed by special software on a desktop machine and used to prepare reports on the performance of an Internet site, besides the web stats which your server may have created.

Access Log Manager in Shared Website Hosting
Our custom-built Hepsia CP includes a section dedicated to various logs and the access logs are one of them. Once you sign in to your shared website hosting account and navigate to this section, you'll find a list of all the domains and subdomains that you have. All it takes to allow the generation of access logs is to click on a button which will be available next to each and every domain/subdomain. If the option is active, you will see a download link as well as the file size so far, so you will be able to save the file to your computer and examine it or process it with some app. Enabling or disabling the logs takes effect instantly, so if you don't need one, you can stop it with simply a click from the very same section of the Control Panel. You will still have the ability to access the already generated content by simply clicking on the Download link.
- Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
When you host your Internet sites inside a semi-dedicated server account with our company, you shall have the option to enable or deactivate the generation of access logs with just a couple of clicks within your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. You shall find this feature in the Access/Error Logs section, which you can access as soon as you sign in. All it takes for our system to start creating logs is a single click on the On button that you can see there. The feature can be activated individually for any Internet site regardless of whether it uses a domain or a subdomain and you will find the full list of all the hosts within that section. Any access log can be downloaded as a text file with only a click and you could then view it manually or use some software on your personal computer. The log generation can be stopped by simply switching the On option to Off inside the Logs section of your CP. - Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
